The purpose of the University of California Master Gardener Program is to extend to the public research-based information, verified by UC experts, about home horticulture, pest identification, landscape management and other environmental and natural resource issues.
The Master Gardener Program recently started a Helpline that is manned every Thursday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. The number is 209-385-7403. You can leave a message if you call any other time. They also have a booth at the Merced Farmers Markets. They are at both the North market in “The Promenade” and the downtown one at N &19th street.
