Arts in the Valley presents Youth Radio,  and director and choreographer Chenté Cervantes, the host of  “Chenté” – Merced’s Premiere Talk Show, on Saturday and Sunday, May 26th and 27th.

Chenté Cervantes (Host/Executive Producer) is proud to represent the Merced community with “Chenté” – Merced’s Premiere Talk Show with Chenté Cervantes by bringing his hosting and entertainment skills from the stage to your computer screen. With the goal of bringing a more positive light and recognition to the Merced area, Chenté developed the idea of a web talk show that would bring area talent and people together in a new and exciting way.

Chenté has performed in countless musical theatre production including his most recent role as Seaweed J. Stubbs in Hairspray. With director and choreography credits at various theatres in California, he is also a conservatory instructor at Playhouse Merced. Chenté trained at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Hollywood, California studying Musical Theatre.

In 2011, Chenté won a PMA Award for his portrayal of Chad in the Playhouse Merced production of All Shook Up and best choreography of the year for his work on Chicago.

Making its debut on March 10, 2012, “Chenté” brings together the Merced community with the events, businesses, restaurants, arts, and entertainment that is happening in the ever-growing county and beyond.
