Marguerite Manning is a professional astrologer, author and spiritual life coach who specializes in advancing the universal law of karma through the scientific principles of astrology.

As the founder of Cosmic Connections, a personal enlightenment and astrological counseling service, her work is inspired by the philosophy of Carl Sagan, the spirituality of Edgar Cayce and the belief that only when science and spirit work together does this universe work divinely.

Marguerite Manning’s personal journey of spiritual discovery began in 1994 when after developing a new astrological concept that validated the soul’s history in the birth chart, she started using it to guide her clients to their earthly purpose in the present. Her life long fascination for the stars above was immediately enhanced by a life changing passion for the spirit within as the results were just too remarkable too ignore—making a brand new belief system impossible to avoid. This led to the writing of her first article in 1995 for The Mountain Astrologer, “The 12th House—Your Karmic Closet”. It also inspired her to enlighten others by conducting group seminars on karmic astrology called “Therapy for the Soul.” The tremendous interest and response these workshops generated over the next few years compelled her to share both the philosophy she embraced and the concepts she developed in her bestselling book, Cosmic Karma:  Understanding Your Contract with the Universe.  http://www.margueritemanning.com

In 2011, after being laid off after a 12-year career in radio, Gerry Dove chose to step into the world of entrepreneurship, with his own company, gdove designs, and now has two lines on the market, the first being Peace and Move Forward.  The second line that is now available is Hug Your Child. It is inspired by Gerry’s journey of trying to live life to its fullest each day, and telling the people in his life I love them on a regular basis…because you never know what tomorrow may bring.  On April 20th, Gerry will help train Merced County youth in the first ever Youth Radio of Merced, which will air on Saturday, June 2nd at 8 pm.  If you are a young person interested in radio, the training will take place at the Boys & Girls Club of Merced on Saturday, April 20th from 6-8 pm.  http://www.gdovedesigns.com.

Carol Wright with Last Hope Cat Kingdom will discuss Henry the horse, who was rescued by Last Hope several years ago from a horrifically neglectful and abusive situation in which he and 24 of his Lipizzaner friends were kept locked in tiny stalls and left to suffer all day every day. He was adopted out by his loving caregivers to what seemed to be a caring home. But after several years of living well, Henry’s parent fell on hard times and rather than do what was best for Henry, she chose to let him suffer and starve once again. After an arduous cross-country journey, he is back home at Last Hope, where he will never want for anything again. This includes his considerable medical needs, particularly a delicate surgery that is crucial to his well-being.

Last Hope Cat Kingdom is the ONLY no-kill animal sanctuary in the Merced area. Founded in 2001 by Atwater resident Renate Schmitz and her late daughter, Mona, the sanctuary, located in rural Atwater, CA, features a cattery and lots of acreage for dogs, horses, goats and other animals. We offer rescue, spay and neuter and adoption services for dogs and cats, as well as other domesticated animals.http://www.lasthopesanctuary.org/index.html
